James Franco certainly has a knack for dissing others with his ruthless opinions!
Not only did he provoke a response from a New York Times critic, his diss towards the producers of Spring Breakers: The Second Coming didn't go unnoticed!
How could you just let that go? The This is the End actor said the film was going to be a terrible one without even knowing the story to it!
So, Chris and Roberta Hanley, the two behind the spring break inspired sequel, did what anyone else would do and called James out on his past film projects.
Chris subtly dissed the actor by saying:
"Let's see if I can remember all of the sequels James has done. The Great and Mighty Oz, Spider Man, Planet of the Apes, and he's pushing hard to help set up the Pineapple Express sequel. I guess he thinks only 'too big to fail studio films' are the artistically valid ventures."
Ouch. Are you calling James a hypocrite without saying it?!
Jordan Gertner, the other producer on the film, noted the team does have consent to film the bikini-clad sequel and that they have a great relationship with Harmony Korine.
"We had a great relationship with Harmony Korine and now we’re exploring a new incarnation of 'Spring Breakers.' [We] have all rights to all prequels, sequels, remakes, animation spinoffs."
Well, there you have it!
Doesn't sound like this team is ripping Harmony of his original Spring Breakers!
James, we think the next time you decide to go on a rant and diss someone, you should get all the facts straight before doing so!
