Another year at Cannes means another movie booed!
This time around, Ryan Reynolds' The Captive almost caused audiences to riot with their distaste at the premiere on Friday! *TEAR*
Even though we thought the trailer looked irresistibly shocking, the debut was SUCH a disaster that Ryan refused to attend the after party!
Variety actually called it "a ludicrous abduction thriller that finds a once-great filmmaker slipping into previously unentered realms of self-parody."
At least no matter how horrible the reviews are, Ryan will always have his leggy blonde, Blake Lively, to make him feel better!
Instead of partying it up, Blake whisked her hubby away to distract him with her gorgeous smile and charm during an ultra intimate late night snack at the Hotel Martinez terrace restaurant.
"[It] looked like Blake was trying to cheer him up a few times … she rubbed his arm like she was consoling him and kept whispering in his ear. At one point, Ryan smiled … and leaned into her for a kiss on the lips."
It might not have been the best day, but it doesn't sound like it ended too horribly at all!
We can only guess what Blake had waiting for Ryan back in their hotel room! *WINK WINK* LOLz!
But Ryan shouldn't feel too bad about it, because Cannes' critics are notorious for being meanies! CLICK HERE to see other movies that didn't get a very warm welcome in France!
