Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE us some musicals!
But there are some movies that just aren’t meant to be on Broadway!
It was just announced that the latest flick to find a place on The Great White Way is The Sting and we’re sort of scratching our heads as to why oh why they would adapt this Oscar-winning classic into a musical?!
We’ve definitely got our doubts that the Best Picture winner The Sting will sing its way to musical glory, although anything is possible!
Here are 11 other movies we hope NEVER make their way onto a New York City stage…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
Star Wars: Episodes I, II and III were bad enough. Please don’t hurt our hearts anymore by adding tap dancing.
Home Alone: This one actually scares us because it could so totally happen. And we’d scream like we just put aftershave on our face.
The Human Centipede: Would we pay to see it? Yes. But they still shouldn’t make it into a musical.
Die Hard: They could yippee-ki-yay all they wanted, this musical would NEVER stand a chance on Broadway. Even though we’re sure Reginald VelJohnson is down to reprise his role.
Kill Bill: The first three rows would have to be designated as the “splash section."
The Godfather: No matter what offer anyone makes to producers, they should refuse!
Sharknado: You think those special effects look bad on TV, wait until you see what they’d have to do in real life!
The Wolf of Wall Street: F*ck that! What a f*ckin’ terrible idea! Are you f*cking kidding us, you f*ckin’ f*cks?!
Requiem For A Dream: Heroin was always more popular on the Lower East Side than it was in Midtown…
White Chicks: They’d never be able to afford all that makeup for 8 shows a week
Platoon: If Hell is the impossibility of reason, then seeing this as a musical would certainly be hell on Broadway!
