From an evil queen to a desert queen, Angelina must just enjoy being in charge!
In a recent radio interview Angelina Jolie took a break from promoting Maleficent to confirm that she'd been tapped to star as Cleopatra in an upcoming film based on the life of the famed Egyptian queen.
Though it's unclear precisely when production is slated to begin, the starlet admitted the studio had already locked down a script.
Angelia told BBC Radio 5 Live:
“We’ve been working on it … there’s been lots of different ideas of directors and lots of different discussions … the script has been written.”
The 38-year-old actress wouldn't be the first A-lister to walk in the last queen of Egypt's sandals, of course.
Elizabeth Taylor absolutely crushed it as the titular lead of Cleopatra back in 1963. And that's also how she fell in love with Richard Burton.
Can Ang turn in the same caliber performance? More importantly, is there a chance she could fall in love on set?
Who knows; we're just excited to watch her walk like an Egyptian!!!
