In the future, people drive on glass roads that light up and produce solar energy.
It’s not. Because two married scientists from Idaho have invented what might be the coolest thing we’ve EVER seen!
Solar. Friggin’. Roadways!
Imagine if we got all of our energy from solar panels that were actually built into all of our roads, highways and parking lots?
The sun is beaming down onto millions of miles of pavement right now. Scott and Julie Brusaw think that’s a waste of a viable power source!
So they created these hexagonal panels that are covered with special tempered glass. If we were to replace all of our streets with these hi-tech contraptions, we’d make enough energy to do away with all other forms of power plants! We’d drive electric cars, nearly eliminate all carbon emissions and save the planet!
It’s no wonder why 36,000 people have donated well over a $1.5 million to this project already! That’s an Indiegogo record! And there’s still time left to pitch in!
Still not sold?
Press PLAY to watch the video below. The other benefits of these solar roadways are truly mind blowing!
The only hangup we have is how much these will cost initially. We realize we can’t just replace our roads with these panels overnight, but how much does each unit even cost?
Tempered-glass solar panels? That sounds EX-PEN-SIVE!
But if it means a saving the earth from extinction, maybe the price tag is worth it!
