WTF?! Lana Del Rey Wishes She Was "Dead Already"! These Depressed Statements Are Alarming!

| Filed under: Lana Del ReyMental HealthGIFs

lana del rey depression

This is worrisome.

Lana Del Rey is known for her heavy, dark songs, but now she is actually admitting that she wants to die!

Really.

When Lana was interviewed about her late idols, including Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse, she said:

"I wish I was dead already. I do. I don’t want to have to keep doing this. But I am.”

Yes, those are quotation marks above, meaning she actually said, word for word, that she doesn't want to live anymore.

When asked if her fame specifically contributes to her morbid outlook, Lana explained:

"Everything. That’s just how I feel. If it wasn’t that way, then I wouldn’t say it. I would be scared if I knew [death] was coming. Family members will come on the road with me and say: ‘Wow, your life is just like a movie!’ I’m like: ‘Yeah, a really f*cked-up movie.’ "

She also said she never felt the enjoyment of the success of Video Games because "it was all bad, all of it.”

WOW.

It might be time for her team to get her some help because this seems like a VERY LOUD cry for help.

If she doesn't want to keep doing it - then why does she? She can afford to do what ever she wants. She talks as if she is stuck in some menial job that she can't quit because she has to pay the bills. These spoilt rich kids really have no idea what hardship is all about.

I'm a huge Lana fan. Her music saved me from my personal issues. But then again, I think it's wrong for her to say this. She sometimes acts like no one likes her. Back in 2011, she was slayed by the media. But now I notice, following her closely, that al lot of the media actually praise her. And she has come a long way since Video Games came out. I think it's just weird for her to say this. Yes, maybe she isn't the most populair and praised female artist out there, but I'm sure a lot of aspiring musicians would love to replace her. She needs to realize where she is today. And she gets to have opportunities some only dream of.

I love her music. But these comments are a big bag of bullsh*t and she needs to put her sanity on lockdown. If you're not into it, Lana, do something that makes you feel good.

I hope she finds someone to talk to. A therapist she likes can aid in taking a habit of negative thinking to a more balanced way of thinking. Patterns established for years will take a while to change to patterns that will serve a person in a more positive way. She and her voice are stunning. If industry feels too controlling, she has to know that she can take more control and insist on far more input in all of her career aspects, because SHE is the golden voiced goose; how often she wants to perform and how, etc. Madonna would know all about that. The twenties aren't easy for anyone. It's the bravely slogging through it that builds knowledge, character, and confidence. It gets better.

Sounds like classic depression to me. If you haven't had it, felt it, then you wouldn't understand it. Many artists suffer this, successful or not.

She used to be a huge drinker. Every doctor knows one of the biggest causes of depression is alcohol abuse. She is not being pragmatic and looking things as they really are, because indeed, she managed to become a huge star. It's not her fault, but she needs to see things through her eyes not her soul and heart.

I suppose one must reach the edge of madness to write and sing such melancholy lullabies. I sincerely hope she doesn't fall into the maw of darkness and realizes how truly loved she is around the world.

You have an article highlighting the severity of depression and suicidal thoughts, plaguing even rich wealthy women, and right below it you have a picture of Britney crying with the caption "The Most AH-mazingly Ugly GIFs". For shame, Perez.
