All in all, Darren stated that he would not do anything differently in how he handled the situation.
Ch-ch-check out the interview (above)!!!
The Powerpuff Girls were one of the greatest things to happen to girl power since Rosie The Riveter. And it looks like the effects of Chemical X have a longer half-life than we thought!
Earlier this year, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup returned for a one-off special- and we guess Cartoon Network was happy with the fan reception!
"The original Powerpuff Girls was a franchise phenomenon for Cartoon Network, paving the way for a new generation of innovative storytellers and enthusiastic fans worldwide. We are calling these girls back into action based upon an overwhelming demand for sugar, spice, and Chemical X."
Yes, yes, yes!
But will this be a sequel series, a reimagining, or just the same old Girls we know and love? Cartoon Network Enterprises' Pete Yoder said:
"The Powerpuff Girls brand continues to resonate with people of all ages and there is tremendous excitement around introducing Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup to a new generation. With proven success and great content plans in place, there's so much potential that we're looking forward to explore with our licensing partners in the coming weeks."
Hmm, sounds like he might be talking reboot to us, but if so we hope it doesn't stray too far from the original! After all, that magical formula is what made the show such a success!
