Chris Brown is going to trial!
Looks like that newfound freedom will possibly be short lived after he rejected the plea deal in his Washington D.C. assault case!
As a result of rejecting the plea deal, the Don't Wake Me Up singer will be going to trial and will possibly face more jail time if he is convicted.
Chris reportedly almost took the plea deal, but his attorney and the prosecutor couldn't agree on a statement that revealed the events leading up to the alleged attack.
While his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, has been convicted of the assault, Chris could've been off the hook if he pled guilty to the assault, seeing as how he wouldn't have to serve additional time for it.
But, since he decided against taking the deal, the 25-year-old singer is going back into the courtroom to get this all settled.
If convicted, Chris will have to go back in jail. He has said time and time again that he didn't attack the reported victim outside of the hotel.
Looks like we'll just have to wait and see how this all turns out.
