We all would've loved to have seen Finn and Rachel back in the choir room for the final scene. Tear.
So when season five came to an end, everyone was wondering what the writers would come up with for the final season of Glee. It was certainly a hot topic of discussion!
A couple months ago, the Glee creator revealed that he wanted to end the final season of the dramedy with what he called a "time jump" and it sounds like we're getting just that!
The 48-year-old revealed that the show is going back to its roots in the final season.
"We're working on the last season now, and it really feels like it’s getting back to its roots, which I love.
I'm sort of reinvigorated about it. It's getting back to what I was initially interested in with the show, which was arts in school. The last season is really about the importance of arts education in our high schools… I think people will like it."
No more jumping back and forth from Lima, Ohio and New York City. Wonder what Rachel will be up to back in Lima and if the whole gang will reunite!
It goes without saying, but Glee definitely paved the way for other shows to touch on controversial topics and bring to light to things that shouldn't happen in our schools.
We're definitely excited and cannot wait to see how this all turns out.
