Well this could explain some things.

The one that completely bombed?
Well, just incase you didn't know (sorry to burst your bubble) but the two
high school dropouts sisters didn't actually write the book.
SHOCKER, we know.
It was a collaboration between the girls, their creative director Elizabeth Killmond-Roman, and ghost writer Maya Sloan (above).
Well, Miz Sloan is speaking out and she is letting everyone know just what happened when writing the book.
The girls created a broad two page outline with Elizabeth, then Maya came in to create the vision, with the sisters as inspiration for the two central characters.
So, did the girls commanded her to write, write, write until her fingers bled?
LOLz! They would never!
'People are trying to take this away from the girls. But most art is collaborative. It was never, like, 'Maya — go off and write 10 chapters and send them back to us.'
Well, that's good at least! She did it voluntarily! LOL!
Except, we find it kind of rude that in the acknowledgement area, Kendall & Kylie only mention Maya by thanking her for her 'tenacious and creative spirit.'
But not thanking her for, ya know, WRITING THE ENTIRE BOOK??
Oh man. Well, at least they admitted to having a ghost-writer and let her speak out about writing the novel!
Better than, ya know, lying about it and saying no one helped them!
