    As far as apologies go:

    It is a real apology.
I think it's enough, especially since he replaced the original, inexcusable comment with a much more empathetic comment.

As far as his personality goes:

The fact that he called people offended by his comments "assholes"… speaks for itself. I have about half my family in Malaysia and his original comment was icky, but his backlash against people who thought it was gross was even worse.

    However… apology accepted.

    (late night caffeine rant)

I've only seen whats in this article so I don't know about any other tweets he's made, but people seem a little oversensitive. He is just stating facts and I don't really think they are offensive or were meant to be taken that way. No one wants to fly Malaysian airlines after 2 massive problems in the last 6 months resulting in massive loss of lives. I'm sorry but it frustrates me how everyone has to take offence to everything. It's sad and a terrible tragedy that this has happened and I really feel for all the families out there dealing with the loss of their loved ones, but just stating that people don't want to fly Malaysian airlines shouldn't be taken so offensively.

If this happened to your family I don't think you'd find his tweets funny at all. Have some respect and its not the airlines fault that it WAS SHOT DOWN.

    Think before you tweet. Stupid

Re: ashlee – I agree! You can't say anything these days without it offending somebody.

You can rant all you want about the Malaysian craft but remember- the craft was shot down. it wasn't the airlines' fault that the craft went faulty. this time, it was targeted. just so happen the craft wasn't very lucky. My heartfelt condolences go to the families on board MH17. RIP.

Should he lose his job? Are you serious? How can you criticize anyone Perez? Aren't you the same person who tormented a seriously mentally ill women, profiting off of her CLEAR mental illness for MONTHS, even wearing a "Free Amanda" shirt. You think he's despicable? Look in the mirror! If that tweet is the worst thing he said, he's basically making a comment on the luck of an airline to have two catastrophic crashes in 6 months. He's not saying the crash victims deserved it, he's not even saying it's the airlines fault. You don't have to think it's funny but I don't see how it offended anyone….

  15. James says – reply to this

IF the apology would have come right after the initial tweet, maybe, but after berating the "assholes" who took offense at the tweet? Fake.

This is ridiculous!!! Jason Biggs is a comedic actor that made a joke about an airline that has had two planes go down in short period of time. It wasn't offensive, mean spirited, or directed at the passengers, it was directed at the airline's crash record in the past few months. There's no doubt that this event is tragic, but Jason Biggs didn't shoot the plane down, he made a f$%king joke!! I've had enough of this ultra-sensitive PC crap. Don't these people have anything else to worry about in their sh$#ty lives? He shouldn't have apologized or removed the tweets. Good for him, for taking a stand, at least initially. People need to relax and channel their anger towards something meaningful, like how we should handle those responsible for shooting down the plane, or how we should spend some tax money on equipping airplanes with defense systems that can prevent future attacks.
