Nick Jonas is all grown up and he's completely liberated himself from his Disney form!
After disbanding the Jonas Brothers publicly with his brothers last fall, the youngest Jonas has taken upon himself to change his former squeaky clean image.
He's not taking super drastic measures like his ex, Miley Cyrus, to get people to change their perception of him, Nick is actually taking his time on a slower path!
From more mature movie and television roles to sophisticated songwriting, you won't catch Nick smoking a doobie and riding hot dogs anytime soon!
A source reveals that Nick has been working on a song that describes all his years of being trapped under the Disney and Jonas Brothers band. There's also a racy music video starring Dylan Penn! Meow!
The source said:
"Chains is a metaphor for what he has been feeling all these years.
Nick has spent years experiencing a burden that's hard to explain. He's not blaming anyone for it; it's just what fame does to people, especially at a young age.
Different people respond in different ways — some do drugs and act out, but his response was to conform to what he thought people wanted him to be. Remember, he was a 13 year-old kid when he became famous. For example: He thought that when he slept in a hotel room on tour, people would talk s - - t about him if he didn't make his own bed. So he made it.
He feels free now for the first time in his life. He's making music he believes in. He's done apologizing for everything and trying to be perfect. He's just going to be himself; if people like him, great, if not, he’s done giving a s - - t."
It's a bummer Nick isn't doing a tell-all essay like Joe did, but this is second best! LOLz!
Growing up in the spotlight can be a very difficult thing at such a young age!
Good for Nick for knowing how to properly mature and grow in an appropriate way with his fans!
We can't wait to hear some of his new music!
