Wow!! Should we all have seen this coming all along?!
However, could they have been plotting the 22-year-old's sudden 1D exodus for a while??

Robert Downey Jr. IS Iron Man.
But he doesn't have to be.
True, his role as genius billionaire philanthropist playboy superhero Tony Stark has made him the highest paid actor in Hollywood for two straight years.
"It's down to Kevin [Feige, Marvel Studios president] and Ike [Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment] and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that's on us to agree or disagree. When things are going great, there's a lot of agreement."
And are things going great? He says:
"Right now, this has just been swell, hasn't it? This has been a really good one and it feels good and we're having a good time."
That all sounds awfully positive! Besides, would he really let someone else take over the role he made famous? Not just yet! He says:
"It's that thing of: Why give up the belt when it feels like you can barely get jabbed? Most people are saying that right when they get knocked out. The future is, as usual, uncertain."
That all sounds like cautious optimism to us! But who can tell??
Geez, if vagary were a super power, RDJ would be full of it! LOLz!
