Robin Williams' Wife Speaks Out After His Death

robin williams dead wife statement

Robin Williams has tragically died in what is suspected to be a suicide.

Robin's wife Susan Schneider released this statement:

"This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

This is so sad. Our hearts go out to Susan and all of Robin's loved ones during this tough time.

Dead of attempted suicide? Isn't that an oxymoron?

This is indeed the saddest news I have ever seen. I grew up with this man's comedy and laughter, as have my children. Our heart felt deepest prayers and thoughts go out to Robin, and his entire family…as well as all those who he has been close to and worked with over the many years. He will be greatly missed by so very many, but in his laughter we will have the memories of the man who always made you smile, and laugh! Blessings!

Re: Crystal – The word 'attempted' is not interchangeable with the word 'suspected' or 'attempted'. If you know the definition of those words you'll see the only oxymoron here is you. RIP Robin Williams you are one of the greats!

I am so sorry for your loss and only wish the best for you and your family.
Have lost a husband of many years to sudden death, it never goes away, but the pain does lessen a bit after a year or two so I wish you healing.

I am saddened by Robin Williams' death and his fight with depression! I don't understand his wife in all this…they retire the night before into separate bedrooms and then she gets up in the morning and heads out to work. Don't you check on your husband or kiss him and say good bye? I have a real issue with all of this since he does have depression! Why would you distance yourself (separate bedrooms) and not check on your husband before you go to work, especially when he suffers from depression, nothing like not caring for a person who has this disease!
