Lifetime Better Watch Out For Brittany Murphy's Dad! Will He Stop The Movie From Airing?!

brittany murphys father plans to sue over lifetime biopic

While many of us are excited to have Brittany Murphy's memory revived on the small screen, there's one person who does NOT want to see a biopic happen!

Angelo Bertolotti, Brittany's father, says he has plans to sue Lifetime after the network announced plans to release a biopic on the late star.

Bertolotti said:

"Lifetime has not been authorized to produce the true story of Brittany Murphy. I intend to litigate Lifetime in a court of law."

A spokesperson for Brittany's mother, Sharon Murphy, stated she was not consulted for The Brittany Murphy Story either and she has not cooperated with the production in any way.

Brittany's dad did not explain his reasoning for opposing the biopic.

Lifetime has yet to comment on the threats of litigation and the biopic is still set to air on September 6th.

    He has no standing…
If they're not producing an authorized biography then they can say and show anything they want and he can't do anything about it.
    It's sad, but that's life

Google " Brittany Murphy’s father suspects Sharon Murphy of double homicide". He's doing Inside Edition

Same garbage happened to my father. David Mamet just decided he wanted to do a mini movie that takes place just prior to my fathers 1st trial. This mini movie was actually made after he was convicted in the 2nd trial. He just wanted to show what he thought was a view that might make my father not guilty and to so just how hard 1 attorney worked to help my father (despite her seeming to do nothing in the courtroom during either 2 trials)

The movie was nothing more than a fluff piece designed to make 1 of his lawyers (Linda Kenny-Badden) look important. Personally, I would have thought, her being a consultant would have been a conflict of interest and a breach.

I found that there was nothing I could do to stop the filming or the airing. With that said, I fail to see how Brittany's father could do anything to stop this film.
