The E! Network Remembers The Late Joan Rivers In A Moving Tribute; Watch Here

| Filed under: TV NewsJoan Rivers

What a sad day.

The world has lost one of its comedy legends as Joan Rivers has died at the age of 81.

The Fashion Police host passed away today, and the people over at E! are feeling the effect of her loss especially.

Here's a statement from E! and NBCUniversal on her untimely passing:

“E! and NBCUniversal send our deepest condolences to Melissa, Cooper and her entire extended family on this incredibly sad day. For decades Joan has made people laugh, shattered glass ceilings and revolutionized comedy. She was unapologetic and fiercely dedicated to entertaining all of us and has left an indelible mark on the people that worked with her and on her legions of fans. She’s been a much beloved member of the E! family for over 20 years and the world is less funny without her in it. Today our hearts are heavy knowing Joan will not be bounding through the doors.”

In addition to this statement, E! just put together a very fitting tribute to the late, great comedic force of nature that could always make us laugh, and it makes us miss her even more.

Ch-ch-check out the stirring commemoration (above)!!!

Can't be sad about this. I'm sorry Perez, but she was a fur enthusiast. She was fun, definetly, but I can't help but remember that skinned racoon turning it's head to look at the camera. How can anybody say that's okay?

What is with all these non-Kardashian posts? I thought Perez has a contract to post at least twenty non-stories about the Trash Family everyday.

She was a funny lady and will be missed. Glad she got as long a run as she did. Hope I am so lucku.

This brings tears to my eyes……….. I just read she was doing better! I love Joan Rivers, such a confident and caring woman despite what people say about her! My prayers are with her family today and may her soul carry on to a place beyond and may she forever rest in the arms of comedian angels………….. —
