Broadway Dims The Lights For Joan Rivers After All! See What Changed Their Minds!

joan rivers broadway dim the lights honor

We were horribly disappointed to learn that Broadway would not be dimming the lights for Joan Rivers. And fortunately we weren't alone.

Thanks to an outcry on social media, the Broadway League rethought its decision to honor the Tony nominee.

Executive director Charlotte St. Martin explained what reversed their ruling. She wrote:

"Joan Rivers loved Broadway and we loved her. Due to the outpouring of love and respect for Joan Rivers from our community and from her friends and fans worldwide, the marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in her memory tonight, at exactly 6:45pm for one minute."

We're so glad to hear Joan got the tribute she deserves.

At quarter to 7 p.m. we hope everyone along the Great White Way participated in a moment of silence for the woman we never wanted to shut up.

We'll miss you, Joan.

I never liked Joan rivers. I think people are conveniently forgetting how racist and biased she was. I don't know why it was ok for her to make tasteless racist jokes when everyone else gets crucified for it, and rightfully so. I have to say that after she actually passed I realized what a star she truly was, not my kind of start but a factual hollywood legend. I'm just having a hard time liking her, especially after seeing a bit on fasion police where she interviewed the trash garbage that is the younger jenner daughters. She praised them and kissed their asses. Has anyone forgotten about all those thins about Joan?

I also love how Perez is ready to cut and quarter anyone who even looks at gay people funny, yet he excuses Joans behavior… I dont get it.

Re: pollopicu – you clearly do not understand the concept of satire. this woman was a genius and an icon.

Re: psnoks – didn't I fucking say that, retard? but it still doesn't give you an excuse to be a racist, because then everyone would say it's "satire" which isn't even the right term for it, genius.

I loved her for being politically incorrect! Get with the program, that PC stuff went out around 2000 except for the DC policy wonks.

    I totally agree with pollopicu!
After what she said about "Palestinians deserve to die" and then she dies shortly after… one word came to my mind: karma…
