sam worthington is being sued for that beat down paparazzi incident

Remember when THIS happened?!

Well, now here comes the legal aftermath!

Sam Worthington and his girlfriend Lara Bingle are being sued for a LARGE chunk of money by a paparazzi photographer named Sheng Li who accuses the two of assaulting him in New York City last February where he was taking photos of them outside of a bar establishment.

Li claims that he suffered a "torn shoulder, facial contusions, injuries to his thumb and wrist" and may need surgery from all of the pain that he endured, as well!

And he's not holding back from how much he thinks Sam and Lara should pay him — it's around the tune of TEN MILLION DOLLARS!

He's also accusing them of slander and libel for making incorrect statements about him to the NYPD!

But it's the money that is on our mind!

That's a lot of cheddar!

    Legal problems

In May 2006, Bingle took legal action against EMAP Australia, who allegedly published photographs of the model without her permission in the 27 March 2006 issue of Australian men's magazine Zoo Weekly.[24] Bingle claimed defamation by the manner in which the magazine published the photos.[25][26]

On 2 March 2010, Bingle started proceedings to sue Brendan Fevola for breach of privacy, defamation and misuse of her image for the release of a nude photo in Woman's Day published on 1 March 2010.[27] On 4 March 2010 it emerged that Bingle and her agent Max Markson had sold her story relating to this nude photo to the same magazine which had published the controversial photo, Woman's Day, for nearly A$200,000.[28] This raised considerable controversy in that Bingle would discuss for large profit a matter she considered serious enough to sue over and from which she claimed to be hurt.[29][30]

Whilst driving with a suspended license in Bondi, New South Wales on 14 May 2012, Bingle was involved in a traffic incident with a female motorcyclist, and fled the scene without exchanging details with the injured rider. Appearing in Waverley Court on 18 September 2012, Bingle was fined $3,500 and received a further 12-month driving ban and an 18-month good behaviour bond.[31] She had previously lost her licence because she had committed at least another 6 driving offences in 2012.[32][33] On the same licence suspension, she was caught driving twice more in October and November 2013, and is now serving a suspended jail sentence for 2 years.[34]

Re: Tom – Correct me if i'm wrong, but Chris Brown had made homophobic comments and punched people (bystanders, not paps) who were stepping into a photo. Sam Worthington punched a pap, who was most likely stalking and provoking both him and his girlfriend. I'm not a fan of either, but there's a big difference imo.
