Remember Amy Winehouse In Celebration Of Her New Statue AND Her 31st Birthday

| Filed under: Amy WinehouseR.I.P.Sad SadPhotos!

She was quite a gift to the music world and that's why Amy Winehouse was commemorated with a new statue (above) this weekend in Camden.

More than three years ago, Amy's addictions took her away from us and she would've only been 31 if she was still alive today.

Amy's 31st birthday was just yesterday and it brings back flashes of all the very high highs and low lows in her short life.

Thank goodness she was able to bless our ears with what she could in the little time she was here.

The only way we know to remember the ultra talented woman taken from us way too soon is with a photo diary of her happiest moments.

We miss you, Amy.

Ah, I see they used the anorexic drug addicted body of her, rather than the voluptuous woman she actually was before the addictions.

What a fucked up world we live in. A drunk drug addict who died from being a fuck up gets a statue. Smh and #sofuckingwrong

Disgusting. Not to downplay her struggles or talent, but we shouldn't be idolizing crackheads. I can think of way more deserving people.

It is absolutely disgusting that they gave a statue to this waste of space. Her music was overrated and she was busted. There are so many people who deserve a statue before this drug addict. I guess this teaches kids that if they say no to rehab they can be enshrined forever. Great job

She never looked that good in real life. And her nose was much bigger.

Can't judge her singing but she was a nasty piece of work as a human.

She was fugly. This statue is too embellished and does not show her ugly nose and coarse features.

Re: Me – How exactly based on what are you saying that. She gave millions to chaities and helped out other young struggling artists. You are only saying this because of a stigma aginast addicts which is disgusting. Human beings it seems need to havea group they can irationaly hate on. Its been blacks, gays, mentally ill and women in the past lets go for addicts this time eh.

Re: Boo – She was not a waste of space she gave millions to charities was known for her genorosity and was an incredible musical talent You people who mock the recently deceased without eve having known or met them. As if anyone is going to become a drug addict looking at a statue of her you fool. Personally I think she was a better role model than you people anyway, sad gits who just hate on others and judge them.
