We hope she passed away comfortably.
Veteran actress and singer Polly Bergen died this past Saturday at her home in Southbury, Connecticut at the age of 84.
She was reportedly surrounded by her close friends and family and she is believed to have died of natural causes.
The acclaimed actress enjoyed a length tenure as a professional in the television, film, and theater industry. She could recently been seen on the small screen on Desperate Housewives and on The Sopranos.
The former role earned her a Emmy nomination - an award which she previously had won in 1958!
One star who was extremely saddened by the loss of Polly was Chris Colfer who worked with the actress back in 2012 for his film Struck By Lightning.
Here's what the Glee star wrote:
"Farewell to my dear friend, Polly. I'm so blessed to have had you in my life. No one could make me smile or laugh like you. I will miss you with all my heart. "Grandma" for a movie, but family for life."
Aww! What a beautiful farewell message!
The actress was also in the original Cape Fear and worked in many Broadway productions which sometimes took advantage of her beautiful singing voice!
We definitely lost a gem yesterday, and our thoughts go out to all of those who were touched by this fantastic woman's presence.
