A Wichita Falls man, Thomas McGowan, allegedly fled police after authorities attempted to pull Thomas over because his vehicle had been reportedly stolen.
Apparently, Thomas then crashed his car, before allegedly breaking into someone's home.
However, resident and Game of Thrones fan Jimmy Morgan Jr. was home with a spear next to his bed, and his account of stabbing his alleged intruder with said spear would make the Red Viper proud:
"This door is open within five seconds, probably within three seconds; this door was open and he was standing no more than two to three feet away from me. I looked at him, I didn't see any weapons however I was terrified…He started retreating and I started advancing and I was stalking him here, you never cross your legs, and I cornered him right here…The door was locked and shut. He was panicked at this point. He said, 'I can't get out, I can't get out'…As he was running, he smeared blood from here to high heaven and he splattered here and he splattered there and splattered all over there. It was like a deer."
We wonder if Jimmy said, "the Lannisters send their regards," as he skewered his alleged intruder.
Apparently, Jimmy went crazy on this alleged breaker-and-enterer using his skills he's learned with this edged weapon:
"It's called the SCA. It's a medieval fighting and we do use spears and swords and things of that nature. I don't have a firearm so I have a short spear, very quick, very agile and very deadly…I am a Christian man and I don't want to take life, however I want to make sure that he understands that his life was mine to take. I let him have it."
What? That is literally the most badass thing we've ever heard.
Meanwhile, Thomas was taken to a hospital for his injuries, before booked with a bond set at $5,500.
Although the reported stolen car ended up belonging to Thomas after all, he was charged with evading arrest with a vehicle, criminal trespass of a habitation and driving while intoxicated.
By the old gods and the new, this is quite the story.
