It bothers her to get criticized by another woman but it doesn't bother her to degrade herself and objectify ALL women in her videos? She talks about her passion for music, but she seems to have a lot more passion for that 'massive publishing' deal.

Well it happen to Eminem and now To Iggy.. A lot of people in the music industry have ghost writers or Co writers. . Why is it when someone is on top their is always a hater behind them… why is she mad? Is it because she's white grl
rapping and she is not relevant? Wether she writes her own music or not Iggy is on top and her true fans will follow and support her.. #TeamIggy

So pretty much, she's a gimmick. She came to this country to learn about hip hop so that she could get into the industry….yet there is nothing hip hop about her. She could have stayed in Australia and did that. She's just fake….some people will never understand. NEVER!

Re: alia – I don't think she was hating I think she is just upset about hip hop being called whatever these days. Iggy songs are very catchy but wouldn't be considered hip hop by the ones who started hip hop. I didn't take it as being a diss and if I was Iggy I would have ignored it because who is Rah Digga? Iggy is an entertainer like she said but just like Rah Digga said, she isn't a hip hop artist.

Who is Rah Digga? Looking like a scratch and dent Atlanta Hip Hop. Beat it chick!

Lolz, because I don't know who Rah Digga is, but Iggy is everywhere with her own appeal. There's room for all of the different kinds of artists, so Digga should just dig harder.

Re: kendally – Just because an artist doesn't fit into a particular little restrictive box title that you've deemed hip hop doesn't mean that she isn't a creative outgrowth of hip hop, or one of the avenues of. She's a very charismatic performer. I don't usually like a lot of that genre, but I like her for some reason. Maybe she's made her own category.

I like Iggy's voice (she reminds me of female late 80's rappers, which I am a fan of), but I don't like her songs. They ain't catchy enough. The fact that Fancy is considered the song of the summer just really goes to show how silly and pathetic that mainstream music has become these days.

"It's just music" this seems familiar to when white women tried to enter the natural hair community and said "It's just hair" while disregarding the political aspects of why these things are there. Hip Hop was never "just music" it was about BLACKS expressing themselves, and outlet to talk about their oppression, it was political at first. Why Eminem is respected is because he is actually lyrically on point. He grew up in Detroit, and knows what oppression looks like, he understands it and be genuine. We actually don't mind if whites raps/hip hop, but as long as the they understand it.

Hip hop use to be like black coffee but when you add cream and sugar it waters it down. HIP HOP is dead

Re: Foxy Roxy – The reason Iggy isn't hip hop is not because she isn't black, but because she's rapping over pop beats about things that are meaningless, that's not hip hop and its the same reason some wouldn't consider artists like Flo Rida to be hip hop. Don't bring race into it.

Iggy is an insult to the hip hop game. She simply an entertaining pretty pop artist that songs catchy rhyming tunes. Hip hop so much deeper than that. It is founded on profound knowledge artists Like Nas, Big Pun, Tupac, Biggie they are worthy of the title.
