Dallas Axed After Three Seasons By TNT!

Oh no!

It's only been a week since the third season of the iconic show Dallas had its shocking finale, and now it seems like that season finale will have to serve as the series finale since the show has NOT been renewed for another season by the network TNT.

Which in other words means that Dallas has been cancelled!

The network released a statement about the sad news. Here's what a TNT spokesperson said:

"We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga, We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show's creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series."

That doesn't really explain why they decided to give this show the axe, but it most likely has something to do with the show's ratings.

Initially the sequel to the original 80's mega hit television show debuted to HUGE numbers as 7 million people tuned in to the show's first episode, but by the end of the third season the show's numbers had went down to 2.8 million viewers.

However, the latest episode featured a major death amongst the supporting case, and now it seems like that'll be one of the show's last moments!

At least it went off the air with a bang! Literally!

Goodbye, Dallas! We'll always remember you!!!

Maybe another network will pick it up, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. FX, USA, TBS.
