Thank you for speaking out about veganism but it is definitely NOT a trend and very few of the people in this list are vegan…

Seems cruel to make it right after Halloween

Vegans can be a pain around the holidays. My niece was vegan for two years and missed a couple of really good Thanksgiving dinners as there were only 2-3 things she could eat (rolls without butter, cranberry sauce and maybe sweet potatoes without marshmellows).

I've been vegan for 26 years and consider it one of the best decisions of my life (my doctor agrees). I lost 25 lbs and kept it off all these years!

Here's a short video to help everyone understand why so many people are making this life affirming choice and why the number of vegans has doubled in the US in less than 3 years.:

Also, here's a link for everyone who wants to join the revolution:

@Teeter Totter my husband and I throw a fabulous vegan Thanksgiving dinner! We host it for the entire family (vegans and non-vegans) every year and everyone raves about the food. It really saddens me that you and your family wouldn't go out of your way a little to make your niece dishes that she could eat as well. It's really not hard to make all the traditional Thanksgiving staples veg-friendly, replace milk with soy milk, animal broth with vegetable broth etc.
