According to court documents, the 60-year-old is accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill two people between September 25th and 26th. He's also accused of threatening to kill an accuser on the 26th.

His bandmates found out about the fate of their drummer right as the news broke.

With an album release on the horizon, many wonder if Phil's legal troubles will deter the release of the album or their upcoming tour.

AC/DC made a statement on their Facebook page, saying:

That statement settles any questions the fans may have had regarding their music.

Phil was released on bail and is due to return to court on November 27th.

"His home on North Island". The North Island makes up half of New Zealand. More accurately, he was arrested in Tauranga, a North Island city.
