The Duck Commander Family Musical.
Let's just let that sink in a moment.
It might not make sense but it's still happening anyway: A&E's Duck Dynasty is heading to the stage!
The Duck Commander Family Musical is going to be based on the 2012 book The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family, and Ducks Built a Dynasty.

Jeff Calhoun, a Tony Award nominee, is attached to direct. Seriously.
What's confusing us is how the Robertson family is kinda pretty anti-gay while Broadway seems to be leaning maybe a little pro-gay a little bit? LOLz!
Longtime producer Emanuel Azenberg even threw in his two cents on the whole thing, saying:
"It's pretty disgusting, but it's also a reminder that Broadway is mostly about making entertainment today — not art — even if it means getting involved with a family whose members say things that offend a lot of people working on Broadway."
At least actors will be hired, the family and their inflammatory remarks will be kept off the stage.
Michael David, the producer working with the Robertson family said:
"The show will end up challenging the views and assumptions of people across the political spectrum, more than most theater does."
The show isn't planning on making a Broadway run at this point.

But we're still sure people will show up because we all know, nothing drives folks to the theater like controversy and duck themed plays. Ha!
