Hollywood Sex Abuse Documentary An Open Secret With Bryan Singer's Scandal Debuts

It's finally premiered.

The film documentary that features Michael Egan, who accused X-Men director Bryan Singer of underage sex abuse, has finally premiered at the DOC NYC festival in Manhattan this past Friday.

The Amy Berg directed movie called An Open Secret however only mentions Bryan Singer a couple times, and Egan's lawsuit against him only at the very end of the movie with some text onscreen.

However Michael Egan figures prominently in the film along with a number of former aspiring actors who give interviews on the abuse they suffered from Hollywood bigwig types.

The film director Amy Berg said about Michael Egan that he talked to her about a year and a half before the allegations hit the media, and that her film was NOT about his case.

She said:

"We were all kind of hit by a storm when that happened. Mike definitely encountered an attorney that he probably shouldn't have encountered and there's been so much negative publicity…we don't know about the case, this isn't about the case."

She also revealed that Egan participated in the film mainly because of his friend Mark Ryan.

Egan had brought Ryan to a Hollywood party one night where he met Mark Collins-Rector and Chad Shackley. Ryan's father reads from a deposition that his son woke up naked in Collins-Rector's bed the morning afterwards and afterwards Ryan descended into a life of drinking alcohol.

Amy Berg credits Egan for allowing her to meet Ryan. She said:

"[Egan] has so much guilt that he brought his friend to that party. Mike opened that door for me; I don't think I would have been able to meet him otherwise."

Amy Berg also definitely believes that the allegations Mike Egan has said of Bryan Singer and others is definitely true. She said:

"We knew that he was telling the truth from the very beginning. We had heard his story years before [he filed his lawsuits] so we knew that this had happened and wasn't the timing that the media liked to portray that it was, because we'd heard it before, so we knew that's not really how it was playing out. As compelling and horrifying as Michael's situation is, when you see the film, you'll see that there's more and so much more."

We're hearing this a real eye opening film about sex abuse in Hollywood amongst young actors, and we definitely would love to see it soon.

And even though Bryan Singer seems to have won his case - he's still fighting a battle for his public image. And just by being implicated in this type of awful inside circle, his career could be in jeopardy.

We'll have to see how this all plays out though!

This is another good example of what's wrong with our justice system
Some out of work hustler makes allegations against a famous person, that person spends thousands of $$$ defending themselves, when they win the case the hustler cant pay what he owes, since he never had any $$$

It is a conspiracy of SILENCE and children are paying the price. Bryan Singer is a rapist and needs to be prosecuted. I agree with Donny…Money got OJ out of a double murder. Just because someone is rich or famous does not mean they are not a criminal. Now Singer is using another child to bandaid his reputation. If money talks…don't go to see X-Men, Hit the only thing that seems to move Hollywood…$. Thank you Parez- u have a son-protect him from the horrors of Singer n friends…

Didn't the late Corey Haim say "You know, there's a casting couch for kids, too"? Didn't want to believe him, that his and Corey Feldman's abuses were an exception not the rule. So sad I was wrong. Makes me wonder about Amanda… and other child actors, male and female, what they may have gone through to "be in the big league". I guess parents have a lot to do with it…not letting their kids be alone at night over a grown persons house… Chloe Grace Moetrz (sp?) mother seems on top of things, for example. But how many show biz parents let their kids be abused all in the name of greed?

I really wish Mark Cuban, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet or someone/anyone would financially back and distribute material to end the epidemic of silence surrounding the abuse of children.

I believe the real problem is some people in Hollywood who have celebrity statious feel entitled to act with impunity as if no one can stop them. The fans, media and justice system enable them due to the celebrity's enfluence by manipulation of the media, threats, passive aggressive actions, bribery or creating false truth to justify their actions twords the victims or blame the victims. Sadly Kids are not the only ones who suffer from the abuse, yet people stand by and enable it. As if celebrity statious allows these individuals the self entitlement to act above the law becuse even the law will look the other way. This has been going on for a long time and continue's to this day. No justice, no morality, only corruption. Perfect example: Julia Roberts bullied her youngest sister to death last February. Why has the D.A. not prosecuted Julia yet? The eveadence is a mile high. Julia has no real or solid defense. Mybe it's the money she gives to the president, maybe it's curruption from with in our justice system. Either way, people like Julia should be locked up before they harm some one else.

I don't care if some of those pukes who abuse children have 50 Oscars and 20 of every other award on the planet, they should first be horse-whipped and then thrown in jail for the rest of their lives.
Not to mention their worthless so-called parents should be thrown in jail to for Child Neglect!

The source of this is in the Jewish Talmud.

Take a closer look and an awful lot of these abusers are jews. Same in British politics.
