It's so comforting to know that Brittany Maynard's legacy lives on despite her untimely death.
Today, on what would have been Maynard's 30th birthday, her supporters have released a posthumous video in support of the Death with Dignity Act, a cause near and dear to her heart.
During Brittany's final months living with terminal brain cancer, she was a champion for the controversial measure which allows terminally ill patients to end their own lives.

Though many have publicly criticized the act, a group of Maynard supporters put together a touching tribute and PSA to educate the public on why the Death with Dignity Act should be passed across America.
Barbara Coombs Lee, the president of Compassion and Choices, an end-of-life choice advocacy organization that Maynard collaborated with before her death, released the following statement to mark the official launch of Brittany's posthumous Death with Dignity campaign:
"As we mark what would be her 30th birthday, we recall Brittany's selfless efforts to help ensure that other dying Americans get access to the death-with-dignity choice. Brittany Maynard is the new voice for the movement. She's the new voice for a new generation of activists."
We completely agree with Barbara — Brittany is most definitely the courageous new voice for a generation of activists.

While it's difficult to acknowledge Brittany is no longer with us, we're happy to know there's so many special people out there working hard to get her message out to the public.
Happy birthday, Brittany.
