WOO HOO! It's finally official!
The cast of HBO's second season of True Detective has officially been announced and it looks like it's gonna be an AWESOME season.
Not only will Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell be the stars of the season, but they will be joined by Rachel McAdams as the third lead!

This ain't the only news, however, seeing as they also announced Friday Night Lights hottie Taylor Kitsch and Black Box album Kelly Reilly.
So, what's happening this season on the show?
Well, the story centers around three police officers and a "career criminal" who are trying to find their way through a web of conspiracy following a murder.
It seems that Colin will play Ray Velcoro who is a detective that's been compromised with allegiances torn between a corrupt police department and a mobster who "owns" him.

Taking place in Ventura County, Rachel will be playing Ani Bezzerides a sheriff's detective with uncompromising ethics that puts her at odds with others. Taylor will be playing Paul Woodrough, a fellow cop who's had a difficult past.
Vince, however, is set to play the criminal of the story named Frank Semyon who is on the verge losing his criminal empire when his business partner is murdered. Kelly will be playing Jordan aka Frank's wife and a former D-list actress.
Sounds like we're in for a treat this season!
