Ever since the Wonder Woman solo movie was announced to be coming in 2017, fans have been crying out for a strong female director to take the helm!

The superhero has become such a symbol of female empowerment that it would be wrong to give the reins of her first feature film to a man!
Well now fans got their wish!
After months of searching, Warner Bros. have found their girl, officially signing Michelle MacLaren to develop and direct!
Here's why she's the perfect choice:
Whether they know it or not, millions of TV viewers are already fans of Michelle's work! She's produced and directed episodes of Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and The X-Files!
With hardcore episodes of Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead (including season 4's grisly finale!) under her belt, we know that like Princess Diana (Wonder Woman's real name), she is NOT going to shy away from battle!
She's A Woman!
OK, elephant in the room time.
Wonder Woman is a female superhero comic that has stood the test of time in a world populated largely by men, and if patrolling the streets of Metropolis is a majority male profession, directing in Hollywood is absolutely dominated by men!
Michelle knows what it's like to be a woman in a man's world. And directing some of the best episodes of some of the best shows on TV is a sign that gurl can fight!
We just got a LOT more excited about this movie!
