There's nothing worse than seeing a young child suffer from illness, but this girl is making her last year on Earth very memorable.
Six-year-old Addie Fausett suffers from an unknown medical problem that causes her brain to fill with fluid and atrophy. Because of this, doctors recently told her mother Tami that her daughter has a year to live.
Addie's condition also stunted her growth, and she's never weighed more than 25lbs, and is shorter than she should be for her age. Sadly, doctors revealed that her brain will deteriorate faster than her body, and she soon won't remember much at all.
So, the family thought it would be amazing to send Addie a "lifetime of Christmas cards" for what will probably be her last holiday season.
To make things harder on them though, Addie's sisters, 10-year-old Shayley and seven-year-old Audree, unexpectedly lost their father last week. He was separated from their mother.
In light of that, the family has asked that the letters be addressed to Addie and her sisters because "They are going through a hard time, too. We are encouraging the public to reach out to them as well," according to Amber Brosig, managing trustee at the non profit Children and the Earth, Inc.
If you want to send a card, Addie prefers homemade ones, with Brosig explaining:
"Obviously, you can go to Hallmark and get the ones that play music or this or that, but the handmade ones—or artwork, if you have a child—is even more special for the family, though, of course, they are just grateful for it all."
And you can send them to:

We're sending Addie and her family lots of love and light so they can make the best of this holiday season together.
According to reports out Sunday morning, Angelina Jolie's political ambitions with the United Nations may have caused a rift between her and Brad Pitt, at least based on a source "close to the couple."
TMZ is reporting that Jolie's dream had been to become a top official with the UN -- which makes sense, considering all the charity work and traveling to developing nations that she does -- but that didn't fly at home with Brad.
