Famke Janssen's X-Men role of Jean Grey is coming to an end, and she called it "bittersweet" in a recent interview.
The 49-year-old actress talked about the new direction they're going in for X-Men: Apocalypse, and it means casting a younger version of her. Reportedly, the actresses in the running are Chloë Grace Moretz, Elle Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld. Famke said:
"It is a little bittersweet, but I've seen what they've done with the younger and older Magneto and Professor X… I think I'm in good company."
As for who she wants to play Jean, Fanke said she loves all of the girls, but singled out Miz Fanning saying there wasn't much resemblance.
James Marsden's Scott Summers character is also reversing time for this flick, so he won't be in it either.
The movie will be directed by Bryan Singer, and will be released in the US on May 18, 2016, so they have plenty of time for casting.
