Mark Wahlberg is trying to get off from this scot-free!
Back in 1988, the actor was a troubled 16-year-old living in Dorchester, MA, when he attacked a man with a wooden stick while trying to steal two cases of alcohol from a convenience store.
He also punched another man in the face while running away from the police.

Both men he attacked were Asian and it was reported that Mark also used racial slurs against them.
This whole incident resulted in assault and other charges against him — the Transformers actor also served 45 days in jail since he was tried as an adult.
Well now, Marky Mark is seeking a pardon for his past injunctions because he believes he has turned his life around.
In the application to the Massachusetts Parole Board, he stated:
"I have not engaged in philanthropic efforts in order to make people forget about my past. To the contrary, I want people to remember my past so that I can serve as an example of how lives can be turned around and how people can be redeemed.
Rather than ignore or deny my troubled past, I have used the public spotlight to speak openly about the mistakes I made as a teenager so that others do not make those same mistakes."
The hard part, however, is getting an actual pardon from the board.
They would need to review his case, and then make a positive recommendation for him to the governor of the state, who then decides if it gets passed to the Governors Council — the final deciding factor.
While we totally agree that Mark managed to turn his entire life around, don't you think the message would be more powerful if they DIDN'T grant a pardon?
Like, even though he's a powerful and rich celebrity, he will never be able to escape his past? Just sayin'!
