That was such a fun TV event!
Following last year's The Sound of Music Live!, we went into Thursday night's airing of Peter Pan Live! without the highest expectations… but we were totally entertained.
Allison Williams completely shocked us with her singing voice and ability to carry a three-hour show, and the newcomers, like Taylor Louderman and Alanna Saunders were amazing too!
NBC's annual live stage production is officially something we're going to look forward to, and to celebrate the success of Peter Pan Live!, let's relive the musical's best moments:
Straight from the beginning, we could tell that the set was going to be amazing…
But then we were blown away by just how intricate everything was. Like how the window in the Darling's house was able to break-away revealing an entire tiny London!
Then we got to Neverland, and the set was gorgeous. The Lost Boys, Tiger Lily's tribe, and the Pirates all lived on a giant map; it was so cool.
Oh yeah, and Christopher Walken led a song with a tambourine. That alone was worth the whole three hours!
But the pirates weren't the only one with some fun choreography, the Lost Boys and Indians got some of the best dance moves.
And now for the three best parts of Peter Pan Live!:
1. Peter accidentally walking in on the "sleeping" maid who was totally just dead.
2. The crocodile.
3. Allison breaking the fourth wall and having all of the kids watching clap to save Tinkerbell!
We really did love everything about Peter Pan Live!.
From the production design, to the acting and singing, and especially the fact that none of Tiger Lily's tribe was whitewashed.
We cannot wait to see what musical NBC puts on next year!
Until next time!
