Jennifer Aniston has a pretty good life going for her. She has a smokin' hot fiancé, a great acting career, but the only thing people seem to care about is why she doesn't have any kids!

No one likes to be criticized for their life choices and the Horrible Bosses star has had her fair share of criticisms.

It all started when the actress and her ex-lover Brad Pitt broke up. People believed the two parted ways because Jen was more committed to her career than being a mother, but that all isn't true — obvi.

The actress is finally addressing all of those pesky rumors — including the ones that constantly berate her for putting her own life before children.

Jen sets the record straight in her Allure spread. She said:

"I don't like [the pressure] that people put on me, on women—that you've failed yourself as a female because you haven't procreated. I don't think it's fair. You may not have a child come out of your vagina, but that doesn't mean you aren't mothering—dogs, friends, friends' children.

I have a lot of friends who decided not to have children, who can't have children, or are trying but are having a difficult time. There's all sorts of reasons why children aren't in people's lives, and no one has the right to assume. It's quite rude, insulting and ignorant.

This continually is said about me: that I was so career-driven and focused on myself; that I don't want to be a mother, and how selfish that is. Even saying it gets me a little tight in my throat."

She definitely has a good point.

We may never know why the 45-year-old decided not to have kids up until this point, but that doesn't mean she's passing on procreating in the near future!

Good for her, standing up for herself! It's hard when people are constantly bringing you down for your life choices!

"But that doesn't mean she's passing on procreating in the near future!"

… No, she's probably not. You missed the entire point of her statements and demonstrate the ignorance she is pointing out.

I agreed! Many of my girlfriend simply don't wnat children. they made that decision in their 20's not 40's (for my friends)…. they just don't want to spend their time and energy on children. then the second someone has a child, they turn to everyone "when are you going to have children?" like because they did it, everyone else did.

She is a bit too masculine and old to make a good mother.

Re: just saying – I agree. Also too self-involved.

Start working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life.

    This is what I do,,,,,,

George Clooney hasn't pro created and produced a child - so what, who cares, nobody's business. Like him more after reading Sony leak BTW as he seems genuine and honest with himself and others. Jen, happy to hear you speak out against those that want to bully you. It's a short life and you are enough !!!

Re: booboo1492 – I hear you and understand. My beloved second husband and I discussed it and I came to the same conclusion that my late mother told me - you are too selfish to be a mother. And I am.
I admire those who can and do raise great families, it was just not my fate. And it sounds like Jennifer is maybe the same way. Either way I wish them both well.

She was career driven? What career? We don't question her career here but her as a woman in general. besides a friend of mine who worked for her told me she was always high on caffeine to keep in shape, so could this have something to do with her problem getting prenant (instead of using her career as an excuse?). Besides she uses horrible metaphors (vagina!!!!), she sounds like an old unfulfilled rag. She should care what people think because the whole angelina legacy is what has kept her in the media.

What's the big deal if she doesn't want to have kids? I actually feel bad for her because it seems everytime she gets interviewed, the subject of kids always come up. Fact is, not everyone wants to have kids. And that is just fine. :)

Re: booboo1492 – Totally agree with you. I don't understand this pressure on women to have kids. Some women, men and couples do not want kids. End of story.

Raising kids is a tough job! Why should everyone be doing it? Plus we need less people on the planet, not more. I feel I am doing the planet and the human race a favor by not having kids. Ice is melting at an alarming rate, methane gas is being released from the seas and more people means more pollution and more ice melt. I wish more people wouldn't have kids.
