Thank you Parez. So lovely for this special child to hear his mom-one love. BTW your son is adorable and in the photo with him on your shoulders he looks so little…very sweet…all the best and have a happy holiday !

He can't really "hear" he can hear the vibration of the voice. Cochlear Implants aren't always the best option . This child will have years of speech therapy and if he doesn't learn Sign Language he may near fully comprehend what people are saying. I hope his parents are learning ASL because even though he has a CI he is still D/deaf. He is special just like any other child hearing or D/deaf.

Re: Cynthia Carrasco – Ryan is also vision empaired. He is learning ASL. The cochlear implant was a choice made by his parents due to trying to give him the most safety and opportunity. They are amazing people and he is a gift:)
