Not Only Has Sony Pulled The Interview From Theaters… But They're Not Releasing It On DVD Or On Demand Either!

We think it's safe to say that Sony didn't have the best 2014.

After getting hacked, having private emails made public, and being threatened into cancelling The Interview's theatrical release… the studio just had to make their toughest call yet.

Not only will James Franco and Seth Rogen's action comedy not be screened in theaters, it seems that it's never going to be seen at all!

That's right.

In addition to being bumped out of its Christmas Day release, Sony announced on Wednesday that it doesn't have plans to make The Interview available on DVD or On Demand either!

While we totally understand the decision considering the hacks and terrorism threats, we do feel bad for everyone who put a lot of hard work into making the film.

It will be interesting to see how the hackers respond to actually getting what they wanted.

Suppose one of the hackers actually ends up hacking the film and leaks it out all over social media and major networks then….. Jamesi and Sethy…..

Way to let the scumbags win Sony scumbags.
I'm betting there's a lot more blackmail going on and Sony is trying to save their own butts.
    Pathetic.

I just dont see anything amusing about two idiots planning on murdering the leader of a country. This movie isnt worth protecting. Irs nit worth peoples lives. Sony made a major error in thinking this movie is acceptable and they are paying for it now.

Re: enough – I'm guessing that you are going to be the first in line to go to war and get killed over a Franco/Rogen dumbass movie?

The terrorists have won, when we change our way of life and our freedom to watch what ever shit movies we want, it is a huge success to those filthy terrorists. It is a sad day for freedom of speech and our rights. To all the folks that think this will pass you have your head in your ass, this will only fuel them to manipulate another corporation and take away more of our freedoms!

Re: Rob – rob, you're 100% correct. whatever leverage these hackers had with the execs at the studios, it scared them enough to lose money, which is unheard of. the initial emailed leaks were damning enough - you know whatever the hackers had in their back pockets shut this movie down for good. oh, and by the way, who thought it was a good idea to make a film about assassinating a living psychotic world leader? I'm putting my money on the actors bring this script to the studio.. actors have most of the power in Hollywood - sad but true.

I've noticed Beyonce has been copying Tinashes mixtapes a lot lately trying to sound all sultry, seductive, smooth, sharp and soft over hypnotic beats. Tinashe deserves a special Grammy award for how innovative her first two mixtapes are.

You can't deny the similarities. Beyonce was doing typical r&b and pop before Solange introduced her to Tinashes mixtape through her website. Ne-yo said Beyonce didn't even have a direction for the album
