Ever wonder what it would be like to work for Mariah Carey?

Well apparently… it sucks!

Mimi's former personal assistant Ylser Oliver is suing the pop diva, claiming she was forced to work 16-hour days, seven days a week WITHOUT getting paid overtime or having meal breaks!

Talk about labor law violations!

According to Oliver's attorney, Matthew Blit:

"My client put her family's life on hold while tending to Mariah Carey's family, and Mariah repaid her by underpaying her."

The 49-year-old was responsible for packing Carey's suitcases, cleaning her New York apartment, and attending to any and all personal needs.

Blit further asserts that just because you're a celebrity, it doesn't mean you live above the law.

He states:

"My client is a very hardworking woman who treated Mariah and her family like her own, working all hours of the day and night… Even celebrities are required to abide by the law."

The upside to this debacle is that Mariah is now accepting resumes. Send away, aspiring personal assistants!

Definitely not the first time she's been accused of this. A few years ago several of her staff went to the media claiming that during concert tours they were overworked w/very few breaks to eat during rehearsals.

She's a personal assistant to a successful rich woman and knows she's signing up for off the clock when she took the job. Unless she threw a phone at her don't think she has a case. Move on.

She has been working for a Diva for 7 years and had no lunch breaks. Why didn't she get out and find herself a 9-5 job with lunch breaks?
