The two girls who stabbed their classmate 19 times and claimed it as a tribute to an internet fictional character Slender Man have been found competent to stand trial by a judge in a Wisconsin courthouse.
The decision happened on Thursday after two hearings for the two girls, and the decision was made by Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren.
One of the girls, who had shackles on, told the judge that she did not believe she was competent to stand trial.

However the judge disagreed with her and said:
"I'm satisfied that the issues of age and maturity do not override her competency. She's competent to make the decisions that have to be made."
Although that girl claimed that she could see and hear unicorns, Slender Man, and Lord Voldemort… a psychiatrist named Kenneth Casimir made a report in November that showed he believed her mental state had improved a lot since the initial stabbings.
One of the lawyers for one of the girls didn't even challenge the ruling that may find these two girls going to trial and being charged as adults.
Although the cases may still go to juvenile court, it is unclear if that will happen or when that would happen.
However, the 12 year old girl whom these two girls tried to kill is apparently back in school and seems to be doing a lot better. At the end of the day, that's the most important thing for us in this whole sad state of affairs!
