Amy Adams is currently doing the rounds to promote her upcoming film Big Eyes.
After CRUSHING it while hosting Saturday Night Live, the Enchanted actress stayed in New York City a whole extra day for an appearance on the Today show!

This, however, didn't go according to plan because they ended up pulling the segment entirely — and it's all because of the Sony hacking scandal!
According to reports, Amy was prepared to make her appearance, but people at the show wanted to ask her questions about the hacking during the four-minute interview.
The only involvement Amy had in the whole scandal was the world finding out through leaked documents that she and Jennifer Lawrence made much less money than their male counterparts in American Hustle — even those who had less screen time than them.
So we can see why she wasn't enthusiastic about answering those questions. According to reports, she flat out refused to speak about it.
Well, this didn't sit well with producers; they canceled the interview altogether (why does that sound familiar?) even though Amy was at the studios prepped and ready to go.

According to the show's spokesperson, it was pretty much Amy's fault.
"As a news program, the Today show doesn't allow guests to dictate restrictions on interviews. In this case, after hours of discussion we felt uncomfortable with the demands being made and we determined the best course of action for all parties involved was to cancel the interview."
Wow. Talk about a waste of her time.
All because she wanted to talk about Big Eyes, aka the movie SHE WAS PROMOTING, instead of very awkward legal matters.
Seems totally inconsiderate to us. If they wanted to talk about the hacking, they should have brought on a lawyer — not an award-winning A-list actress!
It looks like The Weinstein Company, who backed the Tim Burton-directed movie, stands behind Amy too!
Their rep said:
"We firmly stand behind Amy Adams. We've been lucky enough to have had her talents grace several of our films. We are certain her fellow actors and directors would all agree, she is nothing but the consummate professional both on and off set.
Amy decided to speak up for herself and express her disappointment that Today would feel the need to ask her a question she did not feel comfortable, and rather than respect her opinion or continue the discussion, the reaction was to pull her appearance from the show."
Do U think The Today Show was justified in pulling the segment or were they acting a fool in this whole sitch?
