Its dumb to mix two completely opposite subjects together. Rap isn't just for black even if they originated the genre. Banks is out of line. I know plenty of little girls who like Iggy, black and white because of her catchy music not because of her race.

It's like: " Finaly! It was about time people speak against in order to put a stop at that endless shit! "

See how well it would go down in the black community if white people put black country crooner Charlie Pride on public blast because he had no right to 'sound' white and 'steal' white culture.

If white-centric had ripped Jimi Hendrix for loving and doing acid rock instead of sticking to Motown, he wouldn't have felt free to mess with overdriven amplifiers with high volume and gain, and wouldn't have developed his (previously undesired) guitar amp feedback technique; and was the first artist to use stereophonic phasing effects in music recordings. Acid rock wasn't 'black' music.

Re: @v@ – You know that country music is originally a black genre right?

Re: jigglywiggly – The origins of country music are the folk music of mostly white, working-class Americans, who blended popular songs, Irish and Celtic fiddle tunes, traditional ballads, and cowboy songs, and various musical traditions from European immigrant communities. Blues modes have been used extensively throughout its recorded history. All that is according to wiki, (Country Music) but if you have another source, it would be very cool to read it. Black songs could have influenced some of the bluesy numbers, but other cultures had blues; and other cultures would have influenced black music as well. Your assertion that blacks invented music can't be quantified as music existed long before any recorded history. They have found another possible and perhaps even earlier cradle of life in Tiblisi, Georgia. Search ' A Skull that rewrites the history of man' , or Dmanisi people, or Professor David Lordkipanidze, general director of the Georgia National Museum. Blacks have always encompassed music in a big way, as have all other recorded cultures.
Who invented music isn't relevant to how Iggy's being treated. It's not a pissing contest. I think if Banks wants to get all ethno political she should use her own tunes to do it, and should stop messing with someone else's career.

Re: jigglywigglyRe: 0o – Since you went there, though, did you know that all whites aren't caucasian, and that a black can be more caucasian than black but can express the dominant gene for dark skin?
Hmmm. Food for thought. We are all mixed up. Skin color is just a dominant or recessive gene, but just one of many as Scientists have identified about 1.4 million locations where single-base DNA differences (SNPs) occur in humans or the human genome.

Re: jigglywiggly – To be clearer, not all whites ARE caucasian. You can be white but not be caucasian.
