President Obama Is SUPER Happy About Sony's Decision To Release The Interview! Free Speech FTW!

obama celebrates sony decision to release the interview

Looks like someone is extremely happy about The Interview's release and it ain't Kim Jong-un!

It's President Barack Obama!

When the news broke that Sony decided that it WOULD release the Seth Rogen and James Franco-headed movie, everyone let out a collective cheer with the news.

Sure it won't be released in EVERY single theater, but it will be released via video on demand.

Well, the Commander in Chief released a statement, via White House deputy press secretary Eric Schultz, and the Prez is pretty ecstatic about the news.

He said:

"The President applauds Sony's decision to authorize screenings of the film. As the President made clear, we are a country that believes in free speech, and the right of artistic expression. The decision made by Sony and participating theaters allows people to make their own choices about the film, and we welcome that outcome."

We wonder what the "Guardians of Peace" will have to say about this!

More importantly, however, what do YOU think?

Will YOU be seeing the film in theaters on Christmas Day?!?

    Who cares ?
Only thing that will make this a story is if any of the theatres are attacked
If so blood will be on Obama's hands

Just read the NY Times article which says no head honchos in hollywood ever got Clooneys passionate letter defending the constitution. Maybe that's because (1) he historically has thrown the constitution under the bus, (2) he wrote it and is expendable as his clout has fallen heavily, or (3) he wrote it and they threw him under the bus because he's really working with the White House to push net neutrality (we are back to #1). However, like obama who can't comment on the war on cops since he's on vacation at a beachfront mansion with a bunch of rich folk because…the struggle…I doubt it will be interrupted to cowtail to the low info voter who probably won't hear about this because the press won't push it like his passionate but fake pro american soliloquy.

Today for the first time..Im embarrassed that my country is an Allie with the US. You would risk the lives of your own people for the sake of a movie? ..Sad! TO those people that are actually crazy enough to go to see this movie? Look around you in the theater when you get there..I bet there won't be one Sony Employee in the building..or even near it. Stay Safe…its not even getting good reviews from SONY ..so I hope its worth the risk.
PS: no one would accept a movie like this about them being made..without a fight…or a fat check..NO ONE!

Glad he is happy, the folks on Oahu who have to put up with the Secret Service and traffic jams are not so happy (he stays in the Kailua area) from what I have read on travel forums.
On topic I never had any intention of seeing this movie.
