Well, this is quite, uh, troubling if the claims are true!
A member of the Lizard Squad, an anonymous hacking group, has claimed that the attacks on Sony's PlayStation Network and Microsoft's Xbox Live are directly related to the attack on the attack of Sony Pictures.
Seeing as Lizard Squad was the group that took responsibility for the hacking of the popular gaming networks, this is some inside info.
Well, according to the member, who identified as "a Ryan Cleary" in an anonymous chat room with a Washington Post reporter, the group provided the hackers behind the Sony Pictures hack with the log-in information from "a couple" of employees from the company.
AKA they gave them the means to get IN to Sony's network. Yikes.
However, "Ryan Cleary" claimed that their reasoning behind the gaming system hacks on Christmas Day was to expose security weaknesses within the two networks that are used by millions of gamers each day!
