If a family hunts or participates in sporting clays, I see nothing wrong with giving a 16 year old a gun. But it seems that this reality tv family - like all of them - is desperately seeking controversy to boost ratings. Time for them to take a bow. (and its a shotgun - not a rifle)

    That's a shotgun, not a rifle.

Why this gay site routinely features this anti-gay families view points, photos, and outlandish stories is beyond me. It is insulting.

What can you expect - Perez knows more about women's clothing and wearing makeup than anything manlike. FYI Perez - its a shotgun, not a rifle.

We regularly give 16 year olds weapons much larger than that- vehicles.

Re: Jessicalc – Good point. The Jenner kids in their Suburban Assault Vehicles have already proved they are far more dangerous than your average 16 year old with a shotgun.

Exacty what would one hunt with a shotgun? These peple need to stop reproducing and get out of TV. Isn't thou shall not kill one on the commandments? Or are they only intersted in spreading LGBT hate?

Re: MariaS – Shotguns are used for bird hunting.

Being from Arkansas, this is a common occurrence. Some children are gifted guns before they are born. True Story.

WOW, Perez. You're a fucking idiot. That is a shotgun, NOT a rifle. HUGE DIFFERENCE. You're ignorant!!!!!

Re: MariaS – You can hunt many things with a shotgun such as deer, birds (waterfowl, grouse, pheasants, quail), and other small game such as rabbit, squirrel, etc. etc. They are also very fun to shoot skeet or clay pigeons with.

This is the biggest problem with the 'gun control' conversation today….the anti-gun groups are so vastly uninformed about firearms and firearm safety, they perpetuate an amazing amount of misinformation.

If you are going to comment on guns and gun control - educate yourself.

That is a shotgun, not a rifle. Totally a 101 fail.

Re: rosebud99 – I agree rosebud, heck my late husband who was from Virginia had a shotgun at age 9 and was being taught to shoot responsibly by his father.
When we wanted to go dove hunting in California with friends, we had to take a hunter safety course put on by the National Rifle Association, it was enjoyable and we were more than glad to do our part. Only then were we allowed to get our hunting licenses.

This is not your average immature, irresponsible 16 yr old whose parents pay no attention to; guns don't kill-mentally unstable people do

I don't pretend to know the difference between a rifle and a shotgun but not coming from the USA, I don't understand giving a child a gun - ever. shooting animals like birds, deer etc just for fun seems sick to me. shouldn't you be teaching your children to learn and appreciate nature instead of blasting it to bits.

  19. 19

Re: Libbielou – Do you not eat animals? No one is out there shooting animals "for fun". It's called HUNTING. Don't get all high and mighty because you buy your meat from the store and aren't the one actually killing it.
They're teaching their children how to survive, should they ever need to. Ever have to choose between paying the light bill and putting food on the table? A bullet is pretty cheap and will get you a lot of food provided you have a gun and know how to hunt.

I wouldn't say it's a fun fun gift, but it's definitely not a bad one.
