Boyhood Proves That Unique Storytelling Can Win Big With The Golden Globe Award For Best Motion Picture — Drama!

| Filed under: Film FlickersAwardzGolden Globes

We had a feeling that this is how the night was gonna end.

The 2015 Golden Globes came to a close with Boyhood winning the award for Best Motion Picture — Drama!

If you haven't heard, the Richard Linklater film was done over the course of a staggering 12-year period; something that's never been attempted in movie history!

To win the night's top prize, Richard and Boyhood had to beat out Foxcatcher by Bennett Miller, The Imitation Game by Morten Tyldum, Selma by Ava DuVernay, and The Theory of Everything by James Marsh.

We're hoping that this award for such a unique piece of art leads to other filmmakers taking crazy chances in the future.

Congratulations to everyone involved!

Watched this movie last night, not a bad movie, just got kind of boring actually. Just because it was made over so many years certainly doesnt mean its award worthy.
