It's another win for Amazon Studios!
After going two for two at the Golden Globes with their original series Transparent, the fledgling TV network just got another huge get.

Woody Allen has just signed on to do his first ever TV series!
The Untitled Woody Allen Project (Personally we think they need to work on the title! LOLz!) will join Transparent, Mozart In The Jungle, Alpha House, and more new series exclusively on Prime streaming as Amazon makes a serious run at original programming.
Vice President of Amazon Studios Roy Price announced the news, saying:
"Woody Allen is a visionary creator who has made some of the greatest films of all-time, and it's an honor to be working with him on his first television series. From Annie Hall to Blue Jasmine, Woody has been at the creative forefront of American cinema and we couldn't be more excited to premiere his first TV series exclusively on Prime Instant Video next year."
This isn't just a producing gig. Woody will be writing and directing every single episode of the show.
So what will it be about? Even Woody doesn't know! He said:
"I don't know how I got into this. I have no ideas and I'm not sure where to begin. My guess is that Roy Price will regret this."
Whatever you think of the infamous film director, this is momentous news for Amazon.
This shows they are a network willing to swing big and take risks.
