Someone must have forgotten to feed the Gremlins remake after midnight, because it looks like it is not going to become a movie after all!
The planned reboot that screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith says would have acknowledged the original movies is dead in the water — or wait, the sunlight!

Seth says he, Steven Spielberg, and Chris Columbus, who produced and wrote the original film, are just too busy to make it right now.
"I think we just ran out of steam. It's one of those things where everybody got busy doing other things. It's something I would love to come back to, but right now Steven's making two movies back to back and Chris Columbus is busy. We're all taking a five-minute break on that."
We guess that gives Seth more time to work on that Beetlejuice sequel instead.
Or, you know, they could write a new movie. Just for fun, to see how it goes. LOLz!
