This sucks for these people and their families.
DreamWorks Animation will be axing an estimated 500 jobs from everywhere inside the studio, and the reason why is because Jeffrey Katzenberg says so!
Just kidding… sort of.
The company has had a bad couple of disappointments at the box office recently and because of that the studio wants to only make two films per year instead of the three that they've been doing.

Here's what Katzenberg said about it all:
"My time and my focus needs to be on making blockbuster films. We have the people to do it. That's where my energy is going to be focused. Feature animation is the core of our company. Getting our feature film business back on track is our number one priority. I want us to get back to making two great blockbuster films a year. We want to get back to basics here."
Since they'll now be making one less movie per year, it seems that their BEST franchise will definitely be suffering from all this!
How to Train Your Dragon 3's release date has been pushed back to June 29, 2018. Here are the rest of the films' release dates with this latest information!
Kung Fu Panda 3 now has a release date set for March 18, 2016. Trolls is due Nov. 4, 2016. Boss Baby is scheduled for Jan. 13, 2017. The Croods 2 will have its debut on Dec. 22, 2017. And Larrikins will come out Feb. 16, 2018.
Sad to see this awesome movies put off for so long, but hopefully Dreamworks will get their shizz together soon and will nail the third Dragon movie.
It's way to good to mess around with!!!
