It's the end of an era… again. Blink-182 has broken up!
It feels like not long ago we were rejoicing they were back together and even releasing a new album, as we previously mentioned.
And now, our heart's been broken all over again!
Tom DeLonge has left Blink-182.
Mark Hoppus and Tom founded Blink together back in 1992 and eventually picked up Travis Barker as their drummer.
Now, it's just Mark and Travis again. The "band" (Mark and Travis) released a statement that read:
"We were all set to play this festival and record a new album, and Tom kept putting it off without reason. A week before we were scheduled to go into the studio, we got an email from his manager, explaining that he didn't want to participate in any Blink-182 projects indefinitely but would rather work on his other, nonmusical endeavors. No hard feelings, but the show must go on for our fans."
This sounds sorta like the others times they've "broken up." It's that word "indefinitely."

Basically, it sounds like he's out of the band until he gets bored in the future and then decides to come back.
Keeping things nice and confusing, Tom sorta responded on his Instagram, writing:
"To all the fans, I never quit the band. I actually was on a phone call about a blink 182 event for New York City at the time all these weird press releases started coming in… Apparently those releases were 'sanctioned' from the band. Are we dysfunctional- yes. But, Christ….. #Awkward #BabyBackRibs"
So… Tom is saying that he had no idea his manager basically quit him out of Blink-182?
Or is Tom just trying to save face in front of all the upset fans by being extra confusing??
Let us know in the comments!!
