While you've been getting down and out about the liars and the dirty, dirty cheats of the world, Taylor Swift has been trademarking her. catchy. lyrics.
She's one smart cookie and a hellvua business woman!
For any retailer or normal person who was looking to capitalize on one of singer's many catchy lyrical phrases, you're out of luck because the singer beat you to the punch!
This is not a joke.
If you do a quick search on the United States Patent and Trademark Office, it'll show that Tay Tay has ownership of the ever-so-popular "This sick beat," "Nice to meet you. Where you been?" and "Party like it's 1989!"
Guess tweens everywhere won't be able to snag a shirt at Forever 21 with those phrases.
They're just going to have to wait until TSwifty stops in their town for an epic concert! Or make homemade T-Shirts with those phrases!
Oh well. You snooze, you lose!
